2023 Q1 Communication
Greetings Wisconsin Chapter IoPP members, affiliates and supporters!
CHAPTER TOPICS:
1. GREETING/2023 Q1 SPRING EVENT
With the golf outing from August in the rear view, we have now fast forwarded to March 2023. Not sure how the time passes that quickly, but it sure seems to be that way when you’re trying to plan an event for the group. The leadership team has been planning a Q1 2023 event that will take place March 30th at X Golf in Appleton, WI. This will be similar to the spring event we hosted last year at the Turn in Green Bay, WI. Please visit our "Events" page for more information and register in our shop.
2. SCHOLARSHIP UPDATE
The chapter needed to fund a bit extra for the 2023/2024 scholarships due to investment gap on our endowed scholarship fund. As it fully supports our mission, we were happy to step up the plate and make it happen. Our future goal is to fund a second scholarship from the endowment fund. Please help support these efforts by joining us at chapter events and the annual golf outing (more info later).
3. CHAPTER EXCELLENCE
The chapter completed the necessary documentation for the chapter excellence award from national. We are awaiting the results and will communicate our award, should we receive one, as the information is released to us.
4. 2023 Q2 CHAPTER EVENT
As we embark on Q2 2023, it would be helpful to hear from some of the chapter members for an event in the Apr, May, Jun timeframe. If you have something you could offer or even an idea for an event, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I promise we’ll do most all of the work to make the arrangements and make the event happen.
5. ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
There is a lot of planning that goes into the annual golf outing. Last year’s 2022 event set a new high water mark for attendees, hole advertisers and of course net proceeds! We are well on our way to our next chapter goal of funding a second scholarship from our endowment, but are at the front end of planning for the 2023 event.
So save the date and pencil in your calendars August 18th, 2023 and begin making plans to attend this year’s golf outing at Royal St. Patrick's Golf Course in Wrightstown, WI. Andrea has been busy creating a new “save the date” flyer which will be released and attached to a separate communication so that you may distribute information easily. More information will be available via the website as sign up begins Monday, March 6th, 2023. With all the competitions we do at the event, we should have some prize for the first folks to sign up for participation and hole advertiser.
6. CLOSING
In closing, please be on the lookout for an event specific communication this month (March 2023) and reminder to register/sign up early to make it easy on the planning team.
As always, there is open communication between chapter and leadership members so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have ideas for an event or would like to become more involved with chapter leadership.
